Our construction practice

Construction recruiters for contractors and builders.

Northside Recruiting places the people who deliver projects, from preconstruction through closeout, with general contractors, subcontractors, and owners nationwide.

Plain answers

The questions contractors ask first.

What does a construction recruiter do?

A construction recruiter finds, screens, and presents the people who deliver projects: project managers, superintendents, estimators, and field leadership. A good one knows the difference between project types and delivery methods, and screens on what you have actually built rather than a job title.

When should a contractor use a recruiter?

When a start date is fixed and the seat is not filled, when a role has sat open because the market is thin, or when you need to hire quietly without signalling a new pursuit. We are most useful when the hire is time-bound and the talent is not applying to job boards.

What does it cost?

Candidates never pay us anything. Contractors pay a contingency fee, a percentage of first-year base salary agreed in writing before the search begins, due only when the hire starts. Every placement carries a replacement guarantee.

How it works

Built around your schedule.

The same three steps whether you are hiring or moving.

  1. 1

    A conversation about the work

For contractors, a short intake on the project, the team, the schedule, and what would make someone succeed here. For candidates, what you have run and what you want next.

  2. 2

A mapped market, then a shortlist

We know who is running what, who is finishing a project soon, and what the market pays. You get a handful of genuinely interested, genuinely qualified people, not a stack of resumes.

  3. 3

    Offer, notice, and start date

We manage references, comp negotiation, relocation, and notice timing so the start date you agreed on is the start date you get.
