FAQ
Straight answers, no runaround.
The questions we get most, from both sides of a search.
For candidates
Does it cost me anything?
No. Candidates never pay us anything, ever. Our fees are paid by the contractors who hire.
Will my current employer find out I'm looking?
Not from us. Your resume goes nowhere without your explicit approval for that specific role, and we never name you to a contractor before you say yes.
What kinds of roles do you place, and where?
Construction roles nationwide: project engineers through project executives, superintendents and field leadership, estimators and preconstruction, safety and quality, MEP, civil, VDC, and skilled trades supervision.
Do I have to relocate?
It depends on the role. Field positions are tied to a jobsite, so we are direct about location, travel, per diem, and project duration before you invest time in a process.
For contractors
How does your fee work?
We work on contingency. A percentage of first-year base salary, agreed in writing before the search begins, due only when your hire starts. Nothing up front, and every placement carries a replacement guarantee.
How fast can you deliver candidates?
It depends on the role and the market, but we move quickly and deliberately keep our active search list short so every project gets senior attention. We give you a realistic timeline when we scope the search, including when a role needs a different package to fill.
What if a hire doesn't work out?
Every search carries a replacement guarantee, and we agree the terms in writing before we start. If the hire does not work out within that window, we run the search again.
What roles and disciplines do you cover?
Project management, field supervision, preconstruction and estimating, safety and quality, MEP, civil and heavy civil, virtual design and construction, and skilled trades leadership, for general contractors, subcontractors, and owners.
Do we have to sign an exclusive agreement?
No. We will find an arrangement that works for how you hire. The goal is a placement that sticks, not a rigid contract.
