Job description
A national solar, battery storage, and microgrid contractor is hiring a Project Manager to run utility-scale builds end to end, from design review through commissioning and turnover. You own the job: contract administration, cost control, schedule, quality, safety, and the client relationship.
This is a rotational travel role. You are on site where the work is.
What you will run
- Solar PV, battery storage, and microgrid installations from procurement through closeout
- Shop drawing review against specification, RFI tracking, and submittal documentation
- Permits, inspections, utility interconnection, and incentive paperwork
- Subcontractor and vendor contracts, insurance verification, and invoice management
- Microsoft Project schedules, updated monthly and reviewed with leadership
- Cost coding, monthly forecasting, and AIA billing
- Direct supervision of site superintendents
Rotation and travel
Two weeks on site, one week off. You travel Saturday to start Monday, and head home Sunday when the rotation ends.
Compensation
$150,000 to $210,000 base, with real room at the top end for the right background. On top of base, every week you are on site:
- $160 per day per diem, seven days a week
- $350 per day additional for Saturdays
- $450 per day additional for Sundays

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Equivalent experience considered.
- 5 to 7 years managing construction projects
- Electrical background preferred
- Comfortable managing owners, clients, inspectors, and field personnel
- Working knowledge of racking, panels, inverters, DC and AC wiring, interconnection, DAS, batteries, gensets, turbines, ATS, switchgear, NEC, and rapid shutdown
- Willing to travel to remote sites and stay on location for extended stretches
